RSGB Contest Results Oct UHF 2022
v4.145 by G4CLA

October UHF

The last UHF contest of the year received 34 entries (32 in 2020 and 2021).  It can hardly be described as a popular contest and a number of entrants noted the lack of activity and poor conditions.  Weather was described as poor.  Inevitably most QSO's were made during the partly concurrent 1.2GHz and 2.3 GHz Trophy contests.

For 2021 6 hour sections were added for 432MHz only - these sections attracted only 15 entries in 2022, the same as in 2021.

G3M provided contest ODX with a QSO with EA2T on 432MHz at 964km.   QSO's over 800km on 432MHz were also achieved by G3XDY, M0ICK/P, M1CRO/P and PA5Y.  On 1296MHz ODX was achieved by M1CRO/P with a QSO with OK2M at 910km.  G3XDY, G8XVJ/P and PA5Y all had QSO's over 800km.

For the first time a QSO was made on 47GHz when G1DFL/P worked G1EHF/P with a path length of 28km.

This event is co-ordinated with a IARU Region 1 contest and the R1 logs were obtained and were used to assist with adjudication.

Congratulations go to the many certificate winners set out below.
